Well-trained in many healthcare subjects, Dr. Yan Li finally found her passion in dentistry. Dr. Li is a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) graduate of the world’s first dental college, the School of Dentistry at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Li is also a graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies. Understanding the importance of well-rounded and competent hands-on skills, Dr. Li was selected to continue her post-graduate studies at Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, and Gouverneur Community Hospital; this was a well-known two-year full-time General Practice Residency (GPR) training program in the USA, consisting of intensive, comprehensive training in general dentistry.

During her GPR training, Dr. Li systematically studied modern dental implant procedures for two years and intensively completed more than 300 teeth implant placements in person.

Prior to setting up Cozy Family Dental, Dr. Li worked in dental implant centers in the greater NYC area for years. Before that, she was Chief Resident Dentist at Bellevue Hospital and Coler-Goldwater Hospital. Because of all the experience Dr. Li has accumulated over the years, she is extremely confident in her procedural abilities, as well as her understanding of all aspects of dentistry. To date, Dr. Li has personally completed more than 6,000 teeth implant placements, as well as dental bridges.
